VOCATIONAL EVALUATOR

Full-Time
Program: MRC Vocational Evaluation
Location: 1900 Chicago Avenue

POSITION SUMMARY: To help oversee the daily operations of MRC’s Vocational Evaluation Program. To administer tests, assessments and follow-up evaluation process from beginning to end (intake through planning conference).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Selects and administers psychometric testing, work samples, transferable skills analysis, independent living skills assessment and accommodations assessments. Oversees and handles intake interviews and coordinates with Intake Coordinator on upcoming evaluations and the scheduling of evaluations. Develops evaluation plans. Handles evaluation preparation for each candidate referred. Writes reports on each candidate evaluated, facilitates the post-evaluation planning conference and refers candidate to another program/service and/or exits candidate. Insures all payments for services are received for all evaluations done at MRC and handles the completion of weekly census reports.
2. Assist in scheduling and coordinating activities at the MRC Vocational Evaluation Satellite locations (St. Paul and Bloomington) and Mobil unit. Travels to other evaluation locations to provide the vocational evaluation services. Schedules home based and worksite evaluations, as needed.
3. Assists coordinator and supervisor with the development of flyers to be used to market vocational evaluation services. Attends marketing meetings off site, as needed, to solicit business. Collaborates with other agencies to develop vocational evaluation services
4. Handles program administrative duties. Writes and proofs evaluation reports. Handles program informational and referral calls. Assists with scheduling evaluations as needed. Completes weekly productivity reports.
5. Provide Career Counseling services under the Stay Well, Stay Working Project that entails administering the Career Scope for vocational exploration and planning. Document contacts, keep track of billing and write up monthly reports.
6. Provide Job Try Out Services to individual in the community/an employer site or at MRC. Process billing and write up summary reports.
7. Works closely with Retention Services Manager to collaborate activities between the two programs.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manages miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks
2. Help order program supplies
3. Attends meetings as required
4. Reviews and maintains local, current labor and training information
5. Adheres to professional vocational evaluation standards as established by CARF and VEWAA

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Desired Education and Experience
· Masters Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation or other related degree preferred
· Be certified in vocational evaluation or certification eligible
· Have test administration experience
· Knowledge of disabilities and work related injuries and accommodations

SALARY: DOQ
