Spectrum Community Mental Health

Spectrum Community Mental Health provides services that help individuals with a serious mental illness live successfully in the community.

To help people succeed in the community of their choice, we provide services at three regional centers:

Services

  • SPECTRUM HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES provides transitional and long-term housing options and support services for adults with a serious and persistent mental illness.

- Long Term Housing Programs include Robert Will Community Housing, Kosciolek House, and Four Seasons Community Housing, and Collaboration of Housing Resources (COHR)

- Spectrum Homeless Project provides rental subsidies and supportive services to homeless adults with mental illness.

- Collaboration of Housing Resources (COHR Team) provides rental subsidies and supportive services to long-term homeless individuals in collaboration with three partner agencies.

- Group Residential Housing (GRH) provides rental subsidies and supportive services to long-term homeless individuals in collaboration with three partner agencies.

- Lydia Apartments provides case management and supportive services to 40 homeless individuals living at Lydia Apartment’s 40 unit supported housing program in south Minneapolis.

  • SPECTRUM INTENSIVE STREATMENT TEAM (SITT) is a mobile, community based treatment team designed to deliver variable levels of service intensity to clients within their communities and their homes. This program is for individuals with Medica Insurance.
  • HEALTH CHOICES provides short-term (up to 6 months) intensive case management to Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) participants.
  • SPECTRUM CASE MANAGEMENT assists adults with serious and persistent mental illness to access necessary medical, social, vocational, educational and other services.
  • Spectrum Specialized Services: For people who are homeless, young adults, and people struggling with both mental illness and substance abuse.
  • Spectrum Arts Program: Provides dynamic and innovative art classes that help participants discover their potential through creative expression, form friendships in a supportive environment, and identify their worth as creative and productive members of society.

Spectrum is a division of RESOURCE—a private, nonprofit, United Way agency that provides services in the areas of employment, training, chemical health, and mental health. Spectrum services are funded by Hennepin County, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Greater Twin Cities United Way, community foundations, and private donors.
